Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u was pleased to present a variety of medical equipment received from Melino mo e ‘Ofa Charity (NZ) to the Pea Health Centre.
The Handover ceremony was presided over by Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u and in attendance was Lord Tu’ivakano, Mr Mesui Kafalava (Director of Melino mo e ‘Ofa Charity) and Dr. Reynold ‘Ofanoa (CEO, Ministry of Health) as well as, representatives from the Ministry of Health (Public Health Section) and Pea town officer.
The medical equipment was gathered by the collaborative efforts of Lord Tu’ivakano and the Nobles Representatives in Parliament in cooperation with Melino mo e ‘Ofa Charity (NZ).
The donated medical equipment included: “4 electrical hospital beds, 5 sets of crutches, 6 pairs of orthopedic shoes, 4 hospital vital sign monitors, Ophthalmic Machine (Eye-testing), 10 Boxes Overhead Gown, Surgical Masks, 100 Medical Gowns, Insulin Boxes.’
