On Friday 30th October 2026, Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u accompanied by His Royal Highness The Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala (Minister of His Majesty’s Diplomatic Services & His Majesty’s Armed Forces) visited the Mahidol University, Thailand.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were warmly welcomed by the President of Mahidol University, Governor of Nakhon Pathom Province and Officials from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency as well as, leading experts from Mahidol’s Medical Sciences faculties.
Presentations and discussions focused on proposed potential areas of collaboration including Capacity building in health fields of palliative care, radiology, dentistry and physical therapy and hemo dialysis systems and the potential for the development of Cacao plantations.
Her Majesty expressed sincere gratitude for the opportunity to share and discuss with Mahidol University these opportunities and looks forward to fruitful future collaborations for the betterment and future of the Tongan people.
