Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u was pleased on Friday 26th July 2024, to preside over the handover at the Royal Palace, of the first of three shipments of school furniture donations to Her Majesty’s Charity.
Her Majesty was also, pleased to direct that this first shipment of donated school furniture be given to St. Andrew’s High School.
The donated school furniture were received from SWIRE Shipping Lt in cooperation with Sydney Catholic and Anglican Schools Corporation’s as part of the Pacific School Furniture Program.
The Pacific School Furniture Program was first launched in Tonga in 2023 involving Her Majesty’s Charity in collaboration with SWIRE Shipping and Sydney Catholic Schools who provided much needed school furniture which were donated to ‘Apifo’ou College, ‘Ahopanilolo Technical Institute and St. Francis of Assisi Kindergarten.
Her Majesty’s Charity remains committed to providing schools with the essential resources they require for the improvement of the school environment for the children of Tonga.
